Wireless Institute of Australia
The Amateur Radio Service exists for the purpose of self training,
intercommunication and technical investigation. It is carried out by
amateurs who are duly authorised people interested in radio technique
solely with a perosnal aim and without pecuniary interest.
The Wireless Institute of Australia represents the interests of all radio
amateurs throughout Australia. National representation is handled by the
executive office under council direction. There is one councillor for
each of the seven divisions.
